After extensive research, we ordered this wine fridge a few months ago & have been very happy with it. It’s quiet, locks, has a light, has digital presets as well as manual settings, stores lots of bottles & is attractive. The bottom rack is at an angle & you can store an opened bottle without fear of it spilling. The temp seems pretty evenly distributed. Overall great buy.

I currently have the GE Monogram series for all other kitchen appliances and couldn’t justify the price to match units so I went with this Profile model and I’m glad I did. It works & looks great and is very, very quiet.

GE PWR04FANBS Reviews. Part 1

We have just moved into a new house. We already had a huge refrigerator but since I and my husband like to drink wine and not beer we decided to buy the special mini-fridge for wine bottles instead of usual cute freezers. The selection wasn’t quite wide but I think we have managed to choose the best of the offered options which was satisfactory by price and quality – the model is GE Profile: PWR04FANBS 20 Wine Center, 29 bottles capacity.

Foremost, let’s say about the cons of the GE PWR04FANBS. Probably the only I have noticed so far is that it has rubber legs which can be easily broken. Luckily, we received the package with the freezer safely but I read about unsuccessful shipping cases. It is better to ask about package when ordering the unit online.

Anyway, this mini-fridge for wine works perfectly. It is larger than we thought judging by its images online and the GE PWR04FANBS has a lot of space within for storing 29 standard wine bottles. We bought it cheap and in the category under 1,000$ it is definitely the best one.

The door of the PWR04FANBS is rather tight to open but it is an advantage since we have a little daughter who is not supposed to open the fridge but even if she does it will be rather hard for her to do this.

GE PWR04FANBS Review. Part 2

I see why people like when their kitchen appliances working silently. Call me an old-fashioned but I prefer when the fridges work a bit noisy. At least I know they work properly. The PWR04FANBS makes the slight noise but it is not regular and doesn’t irritate anyone. Most time it operates very silently.

The GE PWR04FANBS’s thermostat setting is more than good. The cooling ability can be adjusted by 3 settings – for storing red or white wines and custom. There is the digital panel which is quite easy to use especially after careful reading of the unit’s manual. I have found out recently it has the special overheating protection system. This makes the PWR04FANBS freezer perfect for summer time too.

The design is a bit matter of taste but at least it can fit any kitchen since it is black and silver. I like the interior’s light can be turned off. It is not just for energy saving but also protects you from watching the bulb’s death. In general, the light system within is very cool and it is easy to find a bottle you need for a dinner.

The 5 shelves of the PWR04FANBS are perfect for standard, not very tall wine bottles. They are not removable but very spacious. I checked, as it was said in the product’s description, the unit can keep cool 29 bottles simultaneously. Not that we need so many wine bottles to drink at once, but still good to know. The bottom rack is a bit spacious, I keep over there larger bottles like for champagne.

My opinion, the freezer PWR04FANBS operates exactly as we expected. It looks classy stylish and perfect for storing different kinds of wines and similar beverages. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for an affordable freezer.
